Design work begins on the property, not on paper. A landscape design service near Fairfax, VA starts with someone walking the ground, and homeowners are surprised how much of the eventual plan gets decided during that first hour.

The questions asked on site are practical ones about sun, slope, drainage, and how the family moves through the yard, and the answers close off whole directions before a single line is drawn.
