Founder & Owner
James Derrington
James Derrington founded J&J Landscape Management in 1998 with a vision of delivering exceptional landscape services backed by outstanding customer care. Over the past three decades, he has built the company into a respected landscape management firm serving Northern Virginia, known for quality workmanship, reliability, and long-term client relationships.
Under James's leadership, J&J Landscape Management has remained committed to its mission of creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces while providing exceptional quality and outstanding customer service. His dedication to excellence continues to guide the company's growth, culture, and reputation.
James lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and daughter. When he's not working with clients and leading the J&J team, he enjoys boating, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Ashleigh Gilbert-Lonsdale
Ashleigh Gilbert-Lonsdale brings a unique blend of organizational expertise, professionalism, and dedication to her role as Office Manager at J&J Landscape Management. Originally from the Kingston/Sydenham area of Ontario, Canada, Ashleigh combines a strong academic background with practical experience to help keep daily operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of work, Ashleigh is passionate about animal welfare and dreams of one day owning a hobby farm filled with rescued animals. She actively supports this passion through volunteer work with the Humane Society, reflecting her dedication to making a positive impact both in her community and beyond.
Administrative & Operations Coordinator
Erika Sorto
Erika joined J&J Landscape Management in the spring of 2026 as an Administrative & Operations Coordinator. A graduate of Juniata College with a degree in Accounting, she brings a strong foundation in business, finance, and organization to the team.
In her role, Erika supports daily administrative and operational functions that help keep projects, communication, and internal processes running smoothly. She appreciates the teamwork that goes into every project and enjoys seeing how creativity and collaboration can transform outdoor spaces into something beautiful and functional.
Outside of work, Erika enjoys staying current with business and finance topics, exploring new interests, and continuing to expand her knowledge and skills.
Scheduling & Administrative Coordinator
Maria Silva
Maria joined J&J Landscape Management in 2025 and serves as one of our Scheduling & Administrative Coordinators. She is often among the first team members our clients connect with and plays an important role in helping coordinate schedules, support daily operations, and ensure clients receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys staying active at the gym, expressing her creativity through scrapbooking, and spending time with her cat, Bennie.
Scheduling & Administrative Coordinator
Jeysi Otero
Jeysi Otero has been a Scheduling & Administrative Coordinator with J&J Landscape Management since 2024. She helps keep daily operations running smoothly by coordinating schedules, supporting administrative processes, and ensuring clear communication between clients and team members.
Outside of work, Jeysi enjoys spending time with her two young children and making memories with her family. Her positive attitude and dedication to helping others make her a valued member of the J&J team.

Account Manager
Braudytt Reyes
Braudytt brings 20 years of landscape industry experience to his role as Account Manager at J&J Landscape Management. He joined J&J in 2024 and offers clients a unique perspective shaped by hands-on experience in nearly every level of the industry. Over the course of his career, Braudytt worked his way up from laborer to Assistant Crew Leader, Team Leader, Registered Landscape Technician, Operations Manager, and ultimately Account Manager. This diverse background gives him a deep understanding of landscape operations, customer service, property enhancements, and project execution. He takes pride in continuing to grow professionally and is committed to improving himself every day.
One of Braudytt's favorite aspects of the industry is building strong relationships with clients, helping improve properties, and seeing landscape enhancements transform outdoor spaces from start to finish. He enjoys helping clients develop solutions that enhance both the beauty and functionality of their properties.
Outside of work, Braudytt enjoys traveling across the country with his wife and four children. He is also passionate about cars and vehicle modifications and is a dedicated animal lover who shares his home with four dogs and three parrots.
ACCOUNT manager
Mark Geaghan
Originally from Australia, Mark joined J&J Landscape Management in 2025 and brings a strong horticultural background to the team. Growing up in the Australian countryside, he developed a love for the outdoors at an early age and has always enjoyed working with plants, getting his hands dirty, and seeing the results that come from hard work and dedication.
Mark completed a formal apprenticeship in horticulture, providing him with a strong foundation in plant care and landscape management. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed unique experiences, including planting ceremonial trees alongside both a King and a Prince, memories that continue to make him proud of his profession.
One of Mark's favorite aspects of working at J&J is the camaraderie among team members and the opportunity to help clients create outdoor spaces they can enjoy for years to come. Outside of work, he enjoys tending to his own garden and spending time on the water whenever possible.
Outdoor Living Space Designer
David Jochnowitz
David Jochnowitz joined J&J Landscape Management in September 2025 and has been working in the landscape industry since the age of 14. With extensive experience in landscape design, construction, and horticulture, he brings both creative vision and technical expertise to every project.
As an Outdoor Living Space Designer, David works closely with homeowners to create outdoor environments that enhance the beauty, functionality, and enjoyment of their properties. With a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Environmental Design, he combines thoughtful design with a deep understanding of plants, materials, and landscape construction.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family and traveling throughout the East Coast supporting his son, an accomplished soccer player. When he's not on the road, you can often find him working in the garden or visiting Longwood Gardens, one of his favorite sources of inspiration for landscape design and horticulture.
Landscape Sales Consultant
Donnell Jones
Donnell Jones has been a valued member of the J&J Landscape Management team for more than 16 years. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed helping clients improve their properties and bring their outdoor visions to life. He takes pride in building trust with homeowners, developing creative solutions, and guiding projects from concept to completion.
One of Donnell's favorite aspects of his role is the opportunity to work outdoors, meet new people, and help clients achieve the best possible outcome for their property. He enjoys sharing ideas, solving challenges, and seeing a project transform from an initial conversation into a finished landscape that clients can enjoy for years to come. For Donnell, helping create beautiful outdoor spaces has been a rewarding and fulfilling career.
Outside of work, Donnell enjoys traveling, sports, cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is also a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoys cheering on his team throughout the season. His greatest goal in life is to be a good father and grandfather while creating lasting memories and enjoying quality time with his family.

PROJECT MANAGER
Brandon Bradshaw
Brandon is a Northern Virginia native and brings 20 years of experience in the landscape and construction industry to his role as Project Manager at J&J Landscape Management. Specializing in hardscape projects, he takes pride in delivering both an exceptional client experience and an outstanding finished product.
One of Brandon's favorite parts of the job is seeing a project transform from an idea into a finished outdoor space that clients can enjoy for years to come. Whether improving beauty, functionality, or both, he enjoys helping homeowners bring their vision to life. There is no greater feeling for him than seeing the smile on a client's face after a project is complete.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys pursuing another passion: fishing. For him, few things compare to the sound of a screaming reel with a big fish on the other end of the line.

Tony Urrutia
Tony has dedicated his entire career to the landscaping industry and has been a valued member of the J&J team for more than 20 years. He enjoys the variety each day brings and takes pride in helping transform outdoor spaces into places families can enjoy for years to come.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys music, playing guitar, following sports, and continually challenging himself to learn and grow.
PRODUCTION MANAGER
Marvin Hernandez
Marvin Hernandez has been a valued member of J&J Landscape Management for six years. As Production Manager, he oversees maintenance operations, helping ensure client properties are cared for with consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Marvin enjoys spending time with his family and is passionate about soccer, appreciating the discipline, teamwork, and dedication the sport teaches.
Fleet & Equipment Manager
Carlos Martinez
Carlos oversees the maintenance, organization, and readiness of J&J Landscape Management's fleet and equipment operations. His attention to detail and proactive approach help ensure our field teams have the tools, vehicles, and equipment necessary to operate efficiently and deliver consistent, high-quality results.
Carlos takes pride in keeping the company's fleet running safely and reliably so crews can focus on serving clients and completing projects successfully. His dedication behind the scenes plays an important role in supporting J&J's daily operations.
When he's not keeping J&J's fleet running smoothly, Carlos enjoys spending time with his four children and cheering them on at their soccer games. He also enjoys camping, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his family.
Horticulture & Plant Health
Horticulture Team Leader
George Huynh
George joined J&J Landscape Management in the spring of 2026 as a Horticulture Team Leader. Originally from Chantilly, Virginia, George brings both formal education and hands-on experience to the team. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture, where he developed a strong foundation in plant science, landscape management, and environmental stewardship.
Prior to joining J&J, George gained valuable experience working in landscape maintenance and horticultural research. His background includes plant identification, pruning, planting, soil health management, pest and disease monitoring, and maintaining healthy landscapes. He is also a Virginia-certified private pesticide applicator.
George enjoys helping clients maintain beautiful, healthy landscapes and appreciates the opportunity to work outdoors while caring for plants and enhancing outdoor spaces. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family dog and playing pickleball with friends and family. His attention to detail, technical knowledge, and passion for horticulture make him a valuable resource for both clients and the J&J team.
Turf & Plant Health Specialist
Jhordan Gamboa
Jhordan serves as J&J Landscape Management's Turf & Plant Health Specialist, helping clients maintain healthy, vibrant landscapes through proactive plant care and science-based solutions. With a strong understanding of turfgrass management, plant health, and pest management practices, he plays a key role in protecting and enhancing the long-term health of the properties we maintain.
As a Virginia Certified Pesticide Applicator, Jhordan is committed to staying current with industry best practices and regulations. He regularly attends continuing education programs and professional training opportunities to expand his knowledge and ensure clients receive the highest level of expertise and care.
Outside of work, Jhordan enjoys spending time with his children and cheering them on at their soccer games. He is also an avid billiards player and enjoys spending time at the pool table whenever he has the opportunity. His commitment to continuous learning, attention to detail, and passion for plant health make him a valuable member of the J&J Landscape Management team.
